Jess Takes A Journey: Exploring Dallas

Sunday was all about touristy sight-seeing in Dallas, and I couldn't be more excited! I didn't have specific plans before I arrived, but after a lot of googling and consulting Maxie, I picked a few key elements to my day: food, JFK museum, Dallas Museum of Art, and more food.

First step: brunch at Bread Winners Cafe

The Normandy french toast... incredible.

Next step: Sixth Floor Museum.

The weather was just fabulous, so I tried to walk as much as I could. I ended up walking from brunch towards downtown and then to 6th Floor Museum, which is actually what used to be the Dallas Book Depository, where JFK's assassin was perched out. I'm lowkey OBSESSED with the whole JFK assassination conspiracy thing, so this was so cool to learn about. Unfortunately there were no photos, but I've included a selfie of me with my coolio audio tour.

An enjoyable afternoon.

I found some afternoon coffee (I forgot to snap a pic because my phone was dying!) and wandered over to the Dallas Museum of Art. But on the way I HAD to check out this ice cream sandwich food truck, Coolhaus. I got a red velvet ice cream with a butterscotch/salted potato chip cookie. Sounds strange, but was actually phenomenal.
